Xu Kunlin, governor of east China’s Jiangsu province, met in Nanjing on Thursday morning with Phyllis Ka Yan Cheung, CEO of Golden Arch (China) Co., Ltd.

Noting that Jiangsu has a huge consumer market with great potential and value for investment and development, Xu Kunlin said Jiangsu is focusing on the primary task of high-quality development and the strategic task of building a new development pattern, coordinating the expansion of domestic demand and deepening supply side structural reform so as to provide broad space for deepening cooperation between Jiangsu and foreign-funded enterprises.

Xu said McDonald"s has achieved localized supply, research and development, and management in its capacity as a large multinational chain restaurant worldwide.

He hoped that Golden Arch (China) Co., Ltd. can better combine its brand advantages with Jiangsu"s industrial and talent advantages, share the dividends of consumption promotion policies, comprehensively deepen supply chain cooperation, and promote the digital and green transformation of the food industry so as to demonstrate greater achievements in developing the economy, stabilizing employment, and promoting consumption in Jiangsu.

The governor said Jiangsu will continue to provide excellent service guarantees and provide enterprises with a first-class business environment for investment and operation with peace of mind.

Cheung Ka Yan said that Jiangsu has a strong market vitality, a good business environment, and abundant talent resources, making it a key area for the investment layout of Golden Arch.

The Golden Arch China Co. Ltd. will continue to increase research and development investment, step up facility deployment, drive the development of supply chain enterprises, focus on enhancing the supply capacity of high-quality food, and provide more convenient, comfortable, and high-quality services for the consumers in Jiangsu.
